Platform China Contemporary Art Institute will present Xu Yongcheng's solo exhibition In Between on April 12. This will be his second solo exhibition at Platform China, following “Palace Maidens and Fountains” in 2021. The exhibition will focus on his latest paintings from the past three years, continuing his previous exploration of contemporary aspects of space and people. The concrete "rear window" imagery in his works also shifts from a discussion of hidden yet ubiquitous observation and privacy to the shifting and changing relationships themselves, pointing towards a broader sense of the prepositional "Between."
